Licensing advisory and resale

Microsoft licences with advice, not just a price list

Most organisations pay for licences they do not fully use. And many do not know what they could alternatively have bought. As a Microsoft CSP partner, inciro combines direct licence sales with independent advice on what your business actually needs.

The challenge

The licensing landscape is complex — and costly

Too many licences, wrong composition

The Microsoft licensing landscape is complex. Many organisations pay for E3 or E5 licences for users who never come close to using them fully.

Licence experts without architecture skills

In many places you can find a certified licensing expert. Far fewer can connect that advice to the actual architecture, security requirements and business context. The result is recommendations that look correct on paper — but rarely hold up when they meet reality.

Self-service that is missing or decades behind

Many resellers offer either no self-service portal at all, or one that looks like it was built in 2010. That makes ongoing licence administration unnecessarily painful — and most things end up being handled over email.

Microsoft invoices are confusing — and support is far away

Microsoft invoices are notoriously difficult to decode, and if you have questions, you typically end up in a support queue somewhere on the other side of the world. As an inciro customer, we are an email or phone call away — and we know your setup.

Licence needs change — the agreement does not

Organisations grow and shrink. Mergers, redundancies and new projects change requirements — but the licence portfolio is rarely adjusted to match.

What we do

Advisory and resale in one

As a Microsoft CSP partner, inciro can sell all Microsoft licences directly. That covers Microsoft 365, Azure, Copilot, security products such as Defender and Intune, and specialised products across the Microsoft family.

What distinguishes us from most resellers is that we will never advise you to buy something you do not need. We start from your actual working patterns, security requirements and business goals — and recommend the composition that makes most sense specifically for you.

We review your current licence portfolio, identify overlaps and opportunities, and help you buy correctly from the start — or adjust what you already have. We remain available for ongoing advice as requirements change.

For customers who purchase Microsoft licences through inciro, the advisory is included at no extra cost. We also offer it as a standalone service — for organisations that want a second opinion, independent documentation for due diligence, or an honest third-party assessment of whether the advice they have already received stands up.

And if you currently buy licences elsewhere: switching your CSP to inciro takes a few clicks in the Microsoft Admin Center. No users are notified, no services are interrupted, and there is no downtime. Microsoft has designed the process to be completely seamless.

To address the self-service gap, inciro has chosen to partner with CloudFactory — one of Denmark's most innovative and fastest growing distributors. Their portal gives IT administrators and procurement teams a modern, clean interface for managing licences day to day. The experience is more intuitive than Microsoft's own admin interface and is designed to make routine licence management as straightforward as possible.

Who this is for

For organisations that want to understand what they are paying for

Licensing advisory and resale is relevant for any organisation that buys Microsoft licences — particularly those that suspect there is money to be saved or that they are not getting value from what they already pay for.

  • Organisations paying for Microsoft 365 E3 or E5 without fully utilising it
  • Organisations considering upgrading or changing their licence plan
  • Companies buying licences through a reseller with no real advisory support
  • IT teams that want to understand what Copilot licences actually deliver
  • Organisations that have been through a merger, acquisition or restructuring

Questions and answers

What you might want to know

Can we buy all Microsoft products through inciro?
As a Microsoft CSP partner, we can sell the broad Microsoft product range — Microsoft 365, Azure, Copilot, Dynamics 365, Intune, Defender and much more. If you are unsure about a specific product, ask us.
Is it more expensive to buy licences through inciro than directly from Microsoft?
No. CSP prices are standard market prices, and you get advisory and support on top. In many cases organisations save money by optimising the composition so the total licence cost decreases.
What is the difference between Microsoft 365 E3 and E5?
E5 includes advanced security features such as Defender for Endpoint P2, Entra ID P2 and Microsoft Purview. These are relevant for organisations with heightened security requirements — but not necessarily worth the cost for everyone. We help you assess whether you genuinely need E5, or whether you can achieve a comparable security posture at lower cost by purchasing specific add-on products.
What if we already have a CSP agreement with another provider?
You can move your CSP agreement to inciro — and it is far simpler than most people expect. Microsoft has made the process completely seamless: it typically takes a few clicks in the Microsoft Admin Center, no users are notified, no services are interrupted and there is no downtime at all. Licences continue without disruption. We handle the practical steps on our side and make sure the transition is in place well ahead of time.
Is Copilot for Microsoft 365 worth the investment?
It depends. For many users — particularly knowledge workers with high volumes of meetings, documents and email — the answer is yes. For others it is more nuanced. We help you assess it concretely based on your usage data and working patterns before you commit.
